英语颜色词在翻译中文化内涵的再现

Reproduction of Cultural Connotations of English Color Words in Translation

颜色词不仅绚烂多彩,而且与社会文化思想密切相连,具有丰富的文化内涵。由于英汉文化差异较大,英语颜色词的文化涵义不一定被汉语中的相应颜色所体现。本文讨论red,yellow,blue基本英语颜色词的汉译,旨在说明翻译中要把握英语颜色词的文化寓意,使其文化内涵在汉语中得到准确再现。

Color Words, closely linked to social and cultural thinking, is rich in cultural connotations. Due to the great differences between English and Chinese cultures, the cultural connotations of English color words are not necessarily embodied in their corresponding Chinese. This paper discusses the translation of three basic English color words：red, yellow and blue, aiming to argue that in translation the cultural significances of English color words should he carefully dealt with and accurately reproduced in Chinese.
