现代产品设计呈现出多元化趋势,设计理论和方法也多种多样,如何才能设计出更好的产品,需更多的实践和探讨。设计事理学是知识经济社会的设计方法论,为设计实践提供了值得借鉴的基本方法与步骤。能从生活中观察、发现问题,从"事"里找到设计的真正需求并将其转化为产品,是现代产品设计实践中如何运用事理学的表现。由Mini冰箱的设计实践可见,从设计"物"到设计"事",始终贯穿的是一种合情合理的设计方法。尝试改变以前孤立的产品设计,以"事"为研究起点,并以"事"评价产品,以实现设计最终为人服务,为人创造合理的生活方式。

Science of design is a design methodology in the society of knowledge economy. It can provide a reference framework of the basic approaches and processes of design. From observation of daily life, identifying the real problems and the real needs of design is a practical application of science in product design. This implies that the science of design requires not only the design of an object but also the design of the science, the technology to solve the problems and to meet the real needs. The mini fridge design exemplified in this paper shows that identifying real problems and needs is a practical starting point in product design informed by science of design. It can also serve as a benchmark in the evaluation rubric for prc3duct designed.
