The Digitization of Video Archives:Principles,Equipments and Steps

视频档案的数字化要经过采样、量化、压缩和编码等过程,涉及到色彩空间、采样频率、采样精度、压缩标准等概念。视频档案数字化系统由放像设备、视频采集设备、视频编辑系统(软件)和视频存储设备组成。数字化处理步骤通常包括原像带处理、设备准备和连接、视频采集、视频编辑和格式转换、光盘刻录、后期工作等。

The digitization of video archives should be under the process of sampling, quantifying, compressing and coding, which touched the concepts of color space, sampling frequency,sampling precision and compressing standard, etc. The system for archival video digitization consists of four parts： video player, sampling equipment, editing system （software） and storage devices. The steps involved in the process include dealing with original video, preparation of equipments and connects, video editing and format conversion, disc engraving and follow-up works etc.
