英语中确有歧视女性的现象,但本文认为这并非语言本身的问题,而是与女性在社会中所处的地位、传统文化对女性固有的偏见等密切相关的。随着社会的日益进步和人们观念的不断更新,英语必将会朝着男女平等的方向发展。妇女不仅会在语言上,而且会在社会上取得应有的地位。同时,英语向男女平等方向发展的趋势也将给汉语今后在这方面的发展带来诸多启示。

It is acknowledged that there is a sexual bias in English. But the problem lies not in the language itself, but in the women＇s social status, stereotypes against women in traditional culture, etc. With social development and the progress of people＇ s ideas, English will certainly become more and more non-discriminatory and gender-neutral. Women will have a say in both language and society. Meanwhile, Chinese can learn many lessons from English in this aspect.
