改革开放30年以来,我国的民主政治建设不断推进。邓小平提出了中国特色社会主义民主政治理论,江泽民、胡锦涛在新的历史条件下进一步发展了这一理论。在中国特色社会主义民主政治理论的指导下,我国通过政治体制改革,进行制度创新,完善和发展了中国特色社会主义民主政治制度,民主政治建设步入了法律化、制度化的轨道,中国特色社会主义民主政治建设取得了令世人瞩目的成就。我国民主政治建设的显著特点是坚持走中国特色社会主义民主政治的发展道路,坚持在渐进发展中有重点突破的路径建设民主政治制度,坚持中国特色社会主义民主政治制度的自我完善和发展。这也是我国民主政治建设取得巨大成就的重要经验。

The 30 years of reform and opening witnesses the constant progress in the construction of democratic politics in China, during which Deng Xiaoping brings up the socialist democratic politics theory of Chinese characteristics, which Jiang Zemin and Hu Jiangtao develop in turn under the new historical conditions. Under the guidance of the theory, China improves and develops a political system of such democracy, where democratic political construction becomes legalized and institutionalized, and accomplishes great achievements in the construction which becomes the focus of the world＇s attention, through a political system reform and innovation. The remarkable features of the construction are perseverance in the development of socialist democratic politics of Chinese characteristics, in the evolution with breakthroughs of focal points and in the self-improvement and development of a political system of such democracy, which is the significant experience of China＇s democratic political construction.
