《周易》卦爻辞中记录了许多的贞人的名字,这些贞人又见于甲骨文,并且大部分贞人的活动年代也可以确定。这可以从另一个角度证明《周易》一书的材料来源及成书时间。

Many names of Zhen people were recorded both in the Ballad of GuaYao in ZhouYi and in Jiaguwen, and mostly their years of existence could be determined by textual examination. This in turn gives proof to the material resources and time of completion of the Book of Changes.
