An Analysis of the Essence of Integration of EMS and QMS

An application of the process approach was elucidated to the latest versions of Environmental Management System （EMS） Standard （ISO 14001：2004） and Quality Management System （QMS） Standard （ISO 9001：2000）. Concept and features of the process, and requirements for its inputs and outputs were introduced. The essence and significance of the integration of QMS and EMS were analysed. It has been stressed that the integral management system is not a simple aggregation of those two standards.
