The concept and developing actuality of energy plant exploitation were presented. Meanwhile, the significance of developing and utilizing energy plants was expatiated, and a focus was placed on discussing the necessity and possibility of exploiting woody energy plants in Shanghai region. Some suggestions were put forward on how to develop and utilize woody energy plants as well.
