As China is a unified multinational country, building new countryside in minority areas is an important component of its construction of new socialist countryside. It is not only the basic requirement for building an overall wealthy and harmonious socialist society hut also the inevitable demand for achieving in minority areas a development harmonious in economy and ecological environment, for carrying forward and developing ethnic traditional culture and for strengthening and improving relationship among people of all ethnic groups.
