Medical education in Spain can be divided into three distinct stages, that is undergraduate medical education, postgraduate medical education and continuing medical education. This article introduces the current status of these stages, strengths and weaknesses, and challenges facing each one in the coming years and how Spain look to the international community to surport changes.
