Geological disaster is a reality and a potential threat to new area construction. Through the investigation of natural environment and analysis of future human activities, the paper identifies possible types of geological disasters, uses mathematical methods for risk assessment of geological disasters, and puts forward countermeasures to prevent geological disasters.
