摘要
方以智明确地反对将《通雅》视为一般的训诂著作而忽视其中的微言大义,表明他已经很自觉地将训诂工作擢升到作为追求天道的理想方法。他在"欲挽虚窃,必重实学"的思想指导下,提出了"欲通古义,先通古音"、"言者,载道之器"、"文章即性道"和"文章薪火"等一系列独具特色的语言哲学思想。
Fang Yizhi didn't agree to regard Tong Ya as a common writing of explaining the words in ancient books while ignoring the tao, which indicates that Fang Yizhi had been awared of viewing the explanations of the words in ancient books as an ideal method of seeking tao. At the guidance of attaching more importance to real ability and learning, and avoiding discussing principles, he suggested a series of distinguishing philosophical proposals, such as wanting to understand thoroughly the ancient meaning, at first to be proficient in ancient sound, the ancient words being the tools which load tao, and the articles being tao, and so on.
