There are numerous minorities inhibiting in Southwest China for generations, the folk literature heritage is abundant in content, with numerous categories and outstanding characteristics. In addition to the common folk literature characteristics of being oral, collective, variable, affinity to the people, artistic, it presents other various special features which deepen our understanding towards the special position and the value of the precious traditional folk literature inheritance of the southwest minorities
