党的十七大再次强调要扩大社会主义民主,更好地保障人民权益和社会公平正义。怎样建设社会主义的政治文明?怎样使公民政治参与有序扩大?成为摆在社会科学工作者面前的重要课题。本文仅从我国传统政治文化对当代公民政治生活的影响;公民文化的内涵和我国社会主义公民文化的特点;我国公民文化培育三个方面对此问题进行探讨。

The Seventeenth National Congress of the CPC emphasizes once more on the expansion of socialist democracy and assurance of people＇s rights and interests and the social justice. Workers in social science are facing with the problems of how toconstruct the socialist civilization and how to well encourage citizens to participate in politics. The article discusses the effect exercised by our traditional politics on contemporary citizens＇ political life, the characteristics of our socialist citizens＇ culture and the developmentof our citizens＇ culture.
