On Qian Xuesen's Theory of Deserticulture

钱学森从第六次产业革命和"大农业"的宏观视野出发,创建了知识密集型沙产业理论。这一理论是现代人类对沙漠的全新认识,它强调充分利用太阳能,全面依靠各种高科技,加强有效管理,实行贸工农一体化产业发展模式和注重实践等。其中,充分利用太阳能是其内核。钱学森的沙产业理论在认识人类与沙漠的关系、防沙与治沙的关系、研究方法和研究视野等方面对传统治沙理论有了全新突破,呈现出战略性和前瞻性的特色。它对于我国西部开发、构建社会主义新农村和落实科学发展观具有重要的理论指导意义。

From macro-horizon of the sixth industrial revolution and the macro-agriculture, Qian Xue-sen founded the knowledge-intensive theory of the deserticulture. It is modern mankind＇s completely new comprehension on desert. This theory emphasizes that it is important to take full advantage of solar energy, to comprehensively depend on all kinds of high technologies, to strengthen management, to carry out a synthetic system that combines agriculture ,industry and trade, and to pay attention to practice, etc. Among these contents, taking full advantage of solar energy is its core. Compared with traditional theories,Qian Xuesen＇s theory has new breakthroughes in four aspects, such as comprehension of the relation between mankind and desert, the relation between desert preventing and desert taming,research method and research horizon. Because of its characteristics of strategy and foresight, it will play an important role in West Development, building New Socialist Countryside and applying Scientific Outlook on Development.
