右江农民运动对右江革命根据地嫁娶习俗变迁的积极影响

Positive Impact of Peasant Movement along the Youjiang River on Customs about Marriage in Youjiang Revolutionary Base

右江农民运动开展后,提倡男女平等和婚姻自由,号召妇女挣脱"男尊女卑"的精神枷锁;制定法令,保护妇女的合法权利和地位;倡导婚事新办,帮助妇女冲破封建礼教的束缚,使根据地的嫁娶习俗发生了根本的变化,标志着少数民族聚居的右江地区婚姻制度大革命的开端,对以后的嫁娶习俗产生了积极的影响。

Gender equality and freedom of marriage have been promoted since the start of the Peasant Movement along the Youjiang River. Women have been encouraged to discard the notion of ＂man is superior to woman＂. Moreover, laws have been made to ensure women＇s legal rights and weddings have been reformed to the point that there is a dramatic change to the customs about marriage, which signals the revolution in marriage system and has great impact on customs about marriage in this area.
