The most important notion in Derrida's theory of "Deconstruction" lies in difference. Difference refers to the differences in both space and time in translation. Because of the differences in the two texts and two languages involved in translation, a contract relationship between the original language and the target language exists in translation practice. This contract relationship changes both the original text and the target text, thus helping the original language and the original text survive. The theory of Derrida' s "Deconstruction" provides translation practice with a multitude of possibilities. "Untranslatability" doesn't mean that the translator shouldn't translate, but means that under the rule of economy, creation of the diversity of the original text in translated versions remains impossible, thus further illustrating the curativeness of the original text from the translated version based on the consideration of differences. Although the deconstruction theory has its own limitations, in introducing and translating texts of Chinese culture, the heterogeneous elements of Chinese culture should be preserved. This kind of preservation constitutes the essence of what we should practice in the use and the application of deconstruction theory.
