The Modern Value of Chinese Traditional Philosophy:An Important Perspective of Zhang Dainian's Philosophical Thoughts

张岱年是我国当代著名哲学家和哲学史家,他在长达七十余年的不懈探索中,致力于在马克思主义哲学指导下汲取中西哲学精华而创建新的中国哲学。他在唯物论、辩证法、认识论、人生哲学、民族精神等多方面阐扬了中国传统哲学的当代价值,力图实现传统哲学的当代转化,其有关论述对现代中国哲学的新建构仍有着重要的启示意义。

Zhang Dainian, as one of the most prominent philosophers and historians of philosophy in modem China period, devoted himself to establishing the new Chinese Philosophy guided by Marxist philosophy by absorbing the essences of the Chinese and Western philosophies in his 70 years academic career. He spoke out loudly and clearly the modem value of Chinese traditional philosophy in materialism, dialectics, epistemology, the philosophy of life and the national spirit, sought to achieve the modem transition of the traditional philosophy. His discourses have important enlightenment to the neo - construction of the contemporary Chinese Philosophy.
