This thesis refers to Lyon France as the research object. In accordance with its developed public traffic net and trans- portation function under pressure from huge quantity of cars, the factors which affect residents＇ travel route choice are hereinafter analyzed through big amount of the data, Furthermore, the competitive relationship between the public traffic and the private cars are strongly focused.
