This paper introduces the main parameters about the vehicles of Beijing metro line 5 and the traction & regenerative braking performance of its electric drive system. It also expounds the formation about the power circuit, the parameters and action sequence of the main equipment. What's more, the paper elaborates in detail the important parts of control system, such as the command formation of traction & regenerative braking, pulse mode, the control of traction & regenerative braking and the starting & stopping of current pattern.
