摘要
对比分析了模糊限制语在英关和中国医学期刊中各100篇论文英文摘要中的使用，发现以英语为母语和以汉语为母语的医学科技工作者撰写的英文摘要在模糊限制语的使用频率、种类及分布等方面都存在着差别。
This study looks at hedges used in English abstracts of leading international and Chinese medical journals. A comparison of 200 English abstracts, with 100 each randomly selected from the two groups of journals, shows that differences outweigh similarities in the frequency, type and distribution of hedges in each section of the abstracts written by the Chinese researchers and their Anglo-Saxon counterparts.
