On Multimedia Computer-Assisted Language Learning in the Context of College English Teaching Reform

现代信息技术的迅猛发展使得多媒体成为大学英语教学中的一种有效手段。与传统的教学方法相比，多媒体网络教学有许多不可替代的优越性。然而，由于技术水平和教学理念等原因，目前多媒体网络教学仍存在一些问题，这些问题直接影响到多媒体课堂教学的开展和教学质量的提高。在教学中要注意充分发挥多媒体教学的优势，同时充分意识到它的不足之处。

With the swift development of modem information technology, multimedia technology has gradually become an effective means of college English teaching. In contrast with the traditional teaching method, multimedia computer-assisted language learning { MCALL） has many overwhelming advantages. However, because of technological level and teaching conceptions, some problems exist in MCALL application, which directly affects the development of MCALL and improvement of teaching quality. Teachers should give full play to the advantages of MCALL and be aware of its inadequacy.
