A Contrastive Study of Grammatical Cohesive Devices in English and Chinese Medical Texts and Their Translation

从对英汉语篇语法衔接手段的研究入手，通过对照应、替代、省略和连接四种衔接手段的分析，对比英汉医学语篇中的语法衔接手段。通过具体医学语篇语法衔接手段的统计学分析，对英汉医学语篇的语法衔接手段进行讨论，从而揭示英汉医学语篇的语法衔接特点，进一步加深对医学翻译的认识。

Reference, substitution, ellipsis and conjunction are the four grammatical cohesive devices of English and Chinese texts. The study aims to analyze the application of these cohesive devices in English and Chinese medical texts. Based on the statistieal analysis of cohesive devices in medical texts, differences in using grammatical cohesive deviees are discussed and the features of grammatical cohesion in English and Chinese medical texts are revealed with an aim to deepen understanding of medical translation.
