运用衡量人口文化素质的几项主要指标,即每万人口中的各级各类学校在校生数、每万人口中拥有各种文化程度人数、文化教育水平综合均值、文盲率等,以全国第五次人口普查数据为主要依据,分析了哈萨克族的人口文化素质,并与全国、自治区平均水平和其他几个民族相比较,其非文盲率在全国位居第三,仅次于塔塔尔族和乌孜别克族,大大高于全国、自治区平均水平,其他几项指标在自治区被比较的13个世居民族中处于偏下位置。
