由于各个民族区域的生态环境、文化积累和传播的不同,社会和经济生活的不同,各个民族的文化都具有各自鲜明的个性。这种文化个性在不同的文化之间会呈现不同的文化形态。这种文化形态差异反映到语言层面上则表现为语言差异。如果忽视了这些差异,只从字面意义,就不能理解其语言的内涵,因而会造成理解错误、交流中的误解和不必要的麻烦。从词汇、习语和心理文化差异所造成的翻译陷阱的角度,探讨了如何解决中英文化之间的差异所带来的误解和麻烦。

Language is the external form of thoughts. Due to the differences of culture, society, land and economy, culture difference misleads one＇s understanding of it, esp. among people with different languages. This article lays more emphasis on how to take culture differences into account, and make a suitable word-choice, idioms and psycho-culture to put it properly in the target language.
