金字塔下的《图兰朵》——中央歌剧院埃及之行

Under the great pyramids-Central Opera House's Turandot in Egypt

2008年金秋十月，中央歌剧院一行190人，在院长刘锡津的带领下，赴埃及演出意大利作曲家普契尼的歌剧《图兰朵》。来自东方古国的“茉莉花”旋律唱响在尼罗河畔、金字塔下。这与三个月前埃及开罗歌剧院在北京国家大剧院演出威尔第的歌剧《阿依达》遥相呼应，成为两大文明古国以西方艺术形式为切入点而进行的一次文化互动与交流。

Last October,Cen- tral Opera House performed Puc- cini's Turandot in Egypt.'Moli- hua,'a folk melody from ancient China incorporated into this Ital- ian opera classic,resounded along the riverbanks of the Nile under the pyramids.This is an apt and meaningful exchange with Cairo Opera's Aida that premiered at the National Centre tbr the Perform- ing Arts in Beijing three months ago.
