Treatises on Febrile Diseases （ Shang Han Lun） was regarded as the progenitor of medical formulary and the basis of treating diseases by doctors of successive ages. Cao Yingfu followed the way of Zhongjing all his life, and was famous for using classical prescriptions. He was especially good at using drastic medications for the treatment of per-tinacious diseases, and the effects were immediate.
