The Philological Values of the Emancipation of Slaves

两宋之际洪适的《隶释》是我国古代一部具有重大影响力的文献学著作,书中保存了大量的原始碑刻资料。洪适以这些资料为基础,运用多种方法,从不同角度进行考释,从而使此书考证、校勘、补遗价值十分突出。

The Emancipation of Slaves, written by Hong Shi during the Northern and Southern Song Dynasties, was a momentous masterpiece on philology in the ancient times of China. There were plentiful original materials of stele conserved in this work. On the basis of these materials and by using many ways, the author investigated and explained them from different angles, which made this work had predominant values on investigation, emendation and addendum.
