Language attrition is the reverse of language acquisition. The article reviewed some case studies which verified the Regression Hypothesis. These studies include vocabulary attrition, negation attrition, and the regression of general English skill etc. According to the findings, one of the language teaching goals should focus on maintaining foreign language skills.
