Analysis of Nominalization in English News Discourse from Critical Linguistic Perpective

批评语言学认为,没有毫无倾向性的报道和完全中立的语言,新闻语篇的结构都包含着价值和信仰。新闻语篇中,作者通过对语言的选择,传达这些隐含的意识形态。名词化因其本身的特点,成为新闻语篇中表达隐含意识形态的最重要的语言工具之一。

Critical linguistics holds that language in news reports is not as objective as it seems to. be and it conveys implicit ideology in certain contexts. Nominalization is one of the language forms which are appropriate for expressing ideology implicitly. In this paper, nominalization is analyzed from four aspects to prove that it is more suitable for conveying ideology implicitly in news reports.
