According to historical data and records, this article provides an overview of several major issues covering the history of the Battle of Red Cliff. On this basis, the author is for the achievements of the movie ＂Red Cliff＂ in providing the audience with its visual feast and its efforts made in the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture; however, he would like to make a realistic analysis and assessment on some defects in their understanding of the history, reproduction of the characters, and the plots set up.
