The ber fruit fly, Carpornya vesuviana Costa, is one of the most important insect pest causing consloerable economic losses of Ziziphus spp. in the world. The potential geographic distribution of ber fruit fly in China was predieted in this study using CLIMEX and AreGIS. The result presented a wide potential distribution of bet fruit fly and the suitable level was high. The regions, including most parts of Shandong, Henan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin and Yunnan, west of Liaoning and Guangxi, east of Sichuan and Gansu, north of Jiangsu, Anhui and Hubei, west and north of Xinjiang, were predicted with high suitability. In the meantime, regions such as east and center of Liaoning and Guangxi, west of Sichuan, most part of Chongqing, center of Hubei and Anhui, center and north of Jiangsu and several small part of Fujian, Jiangxi and Hunan were with medium suitability. In order to prevent the introduction and spread of ber fuit fly, the quarantine and monitor measures should be enhanced more in China.
