戏曲小说中“渗人”、“可碜”音义正解

戏曲小说中"渗(shèn)人"的"渗"实为"瘆"的异文,且还有许多写法如"惨"、"碜"等,其音义完全相同,不存在本义有别、形近致误等问题。但"可碜"(kēchen)一词中的"碜"字,又与"碜人"的"碜"音义完全不同。

The character shkn（渗） in the word shenren is actually the variant form of the character shen（瘆）in dramas and novels. There are also many other shapes of the character such as shen （惨）, shen（碜）. The pronunciations and the meanings of these characters are naturally identical as variant forms of the Chinese character. It is crystal clear that they share the same original meanings. No other explanation derived from their similar shape stands under careful review. However, not only the pronunciations but also the meanings of the two characters chen（碜）as in the word kechen and shen as in the word shenren（碜人）are totally different. They should not be confused.
