On Tanpeng Canal——A Survey of Tianwei Pathway of the Tang Dynasty

北部湾畔的潭蓬运河是兴于汉、行于唐的中国唯一的一条海上运河,笔者研究它的历史,从相关史料分析有关的史实,理清马援、张舟、高骈与运河的关系,并辨析运河名称。

Tanpeng Canal at Beibu Gulf, started digging in Han Dynasty and using in Tang Dynasty, is the only oceanic canal of China. By researching its history, the authors analyze its historical facts from the related historical data, clarify the relationship between Ma Yuan, Zhang Zhou, Gao Pian and the canal, and finally discuss the name of the canal.
