浅谈词牌名的翻译——以毛泽东诗词英译本为例

A Study of the Translation of Tune Names——With Special Reference to the Tune Names of Mao Ze-dong's Ci Poems

国内外流行的《毛泽东诗词》英译本的词牌名翻译主要有三种方式:译意法、零译法和音译法,尚存在译名不统一的问题。词牌译名的统一化和标准化有利于中国古诗词的对外交流传播。研究发现音译加注的方法是词牌名翻译较为可取的一种方法。

The translation of tune names of ci poems in English versions of MAO Ze-dong＇s poems at home and abroad falls into three approaches, i. e. , meaning-oriented translation, zero translation, and transliteration and there still exists the problem of disunification of translated tune names. The unification and standardization of translated tune names will be helpful to the promulgation of Chinese ci poems. Study shows that transliteration, with annotation attached, is a relatively better approach to the translation of tune names of ci poems.
