中日贸易往来近年稳定繁荣发展。日本现在是中国的第三大贸易伙伴,同时中国是日本的第一大贸易伙伴。对于在中日航线上运营的集装箱公司,理论上这条航线算得上天堂了。然而,很多时候它却更接近于地狱。在一个高度竞争的市场上,持续的贸易量增长并不能保证可观的效益。
Trade between China and Japan has grown substantially in recent years. Japan is now China's third largest trading partner while China is Japan's leading trade partner. For companies operating container shipping services between China and Japan this trade route should maybe feel like heaven. However often it has seemed closer to hell;in a highly competitive market,consistently growing volumes have been no guarantee of an upward trend in earnings. So,a big question remains as to whether the China-Japan trade can be both highly competitive and consistently growing trade volumes unable to provide steady freight rates,and barriers to entry low,the answer,in recent years at least,has been a devilish no.
