Gestric juice is considered to be one of the most important factor causing clinically duodenal and peptic ulceration.To reduce the secreting of gestric juice i.e.to control the pH value of the gestric juice in stomach with antisecretory drugs or surgical operation has proven to be an effective method in the treatment of duodenal and peptic ulcers.Recently,the H^+/K^+-ATP enzyme inhibitor i.e.proton pump inhibitor(PPI)which is most effective in curing ulcers so far has become a kind of new drug for inhibition of secreting of gestric juice to many researchers.The status quo,functional mechanism,development situation and research trends were summarized in this paper.
