勒克莱齐奥在20世纪法国文学视野中拥有独特的地位,反抗现代文明社会、返璞归真、自然原始的生活状态一直是他的不懈追求。在中国,他经常被划入"新寓言派"作家之列。在物质至上的现代社会中,他笔下的人物先是感到迷失,继而控诉物对人的压抑并展开抗争,试图逃离现实,由此展开了去往理想国"坎波斯"的旅程。尽管一直保持着一种神秘感和哲理性,他的作品却始终表现出一种鲜明的现实色彩。这一点在小说《乌拉尼亚》中表现得尤为突出。

Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio is in a unique position in 20th century French literature. He is against modern civilisation,appreciates the primitive society instead and has devoted all his life to describing the daily life in a natural way. In China,he is considered belonging to the 'New Allegory's School'. Lost in the money-oriented society,characters in his novels claim men's oppression and try to struggle against the realities by approaching the path to the paradise— 'Compos' ,a modern Utopia. We can feel the sense of reality all through his works,although it contains myth and philosophy,especially in Ourania.
