A Review of the Beginning Stage of Primary and Secondary Teacher Continuing Education in Beijing and Thoughts for Future Work in this Field

"八五"期间,北京市的继续教育实践是具有开创性的工作,为北京市继续教育工作奠定了坚实的基础。今后北京市的继续教育工作应坚持培训对象应以骨干教师和农村教师为主,培训内容以新课程改革的实践研究为主,培训方式以校本研修为主,培训手段以区域性网络研修为主。

During the eighth five-year period, Beijing＇s continuing education was a pioneering practice and laid a solid foundation for future continuing education. The future continuing education in Beijing municipality should target at the backbone and rural teachers and the training contents should be centered around the practical research for new curriculum reform. And school-based research and learning should be the major training methods and regional online research and learning should be the major training channel.
