Transmission efficiency is an important technical parameter of mechanical gearbox, it directly reflects the design and manufacture level of the gearbox. Firstly,this paper analyzed the main factors which influenced the transmission efficiency of a mechanical gearbox. Then,it put emphasis on how to test the transmission efficiency,and introduced two test schemes. The methods proposed in the paper have a certain reference value for the enterprises who manufacture similar products.
