话语标记语不参与前后语句的语法构建,它的有无也不影响前后语句的命题内容和真值条件,它的存在似乎可有可无,传统话语研究也往往因此而忽略了它。然而,近几十年来,语言学家们发现,这个看似可有可无的话语标记语"你知道吗"却大量存在于人们的口语中,而且它还对人们的话语表达和话语理解有着重要的作用,因此,近年来话语标记语成为专家们研究的热点。

Discourse markers neither play any grammatical roles in sentence developing, nor affect the truth value of the proposition, so they are often ignored in traditional discourse analysis. However, in recent decade of years,linguists find out that the marker ＂do you know＂ is widely used in spoken language. Since it is very important for people to express and understand language discourse markers have become the focus topic in linguistics in recent years.
