摘要
本文介绍了一种银活化探测系统,它采用特殊慢化体结构,可测量慢中子及MeV混合能量中子,在144keV^2.5MeV具有较平坦的能量响应曲线。为提高探测系统的测量准确度,研究了银箔厚度选取、探测器计数修正和其它材料的竞争反应影响等问题。
A silver activation detector, which is composed of silver foil, G-M counter, polyethylene moderators, shielding harness of scattering neutron etc. has been described. Its modular design allows several efficiency vs. energy responses is the almost same from 144keV to 2. 5MeV. It can be used in mixed neutron measurement. For higher measurement accuracy, the thickness of silver foil, the correction of detector counts and other material action with neutron must be considered.
