The academic dissertations, which can reflect the overall academic level of universities and research institutes, is special and precious literary recourse of universities and research institutes. This paper expounds the features, values, development/utilization and database construction of the academic dissertations, and points out that the construction of the electronic full-text academic dissertation database can increase the use values of the academic dissertations.
