摘要
自"2004文化保守主义年"以来,对于儿童读经一事,在中国形成了"两极化"的态度,力倡甚至热情赞赏者有之,反对甚至严厉批评者也有之。事实上,儿童读经在我国有着深厚的历史渊源,是中国古代传统教育的主要内容;就目前而言,读经应因需而设、因材施教,更要讲究方法,体现文化的价值取向。对当今儿童是否需要读经所引发的争论,我们应倡导多元平衡和超越精神。在社会各方面还没有达成足够共识的时候,争论双方似应多一些"换位思考",多一些宽容;而政府也不应当过多干预,"执其两端"而竭,还是顺其自然为好。
Children' s reading of classical works has a profound history in our country, and was the main task in traditional Chinese elementary education. The reading should be set by children' s need, and children should be taught by their aptitude. More attention should be paid to reading method and cultural values orientation. We should advocate multi -balance and the spirits of transcendence on the dispute whether children nowadays should read classical works or not.
