Historical Perspectives and Enlightenments about the Bureaucracy in the Ming Dynasty

明代处于中国封建社会的晚期,封建化程度较高。期间,虽然个别统治者鉴于前史而重视整顿吏治,但终明一代,腐败顽疾并未得到有效解决,并表现出阶段性、集团性、广泛性、顽固性等鲜明特点,最终成为朱明王朝衰亡的重要原因之一。

The Ming Dynasty was in the late period of China＇s feudal society with high level of feudalization. During that time, some rulers paid much attention to bureaucracy in order to avoid corruption of previous dynasties. But this problem was not solved effectively in the Ming Dynasty and characterized by phase, group, universality and stubbornness, which became one of the important reasons of the decline of the Ming Dynasty.
