槟榔文化是黎族物质文化的有机组成部分。从文化的角度阐释与槟榔相关的文化事项,首先梳理了中国古代典籍中有关槟榔种植和食用方法的记载,然后围绕黎族槟榔文化的表现形态展开论述,展现了黎族槟榔文化的深刻内涵,最后归纳黎族地区槟榔文化的主要特点和成因,为研究南方民族的物质文化提供了新的视角。

Areca culture is an organic part of the Li ethnic material culture. The article explains areca-related cultural activities from cultural point of view. Firstly, a commentary summary is made on the ways of cultivating and eating areca recorded in Chinese classic works. Secondly, a discussion is performed revolving around the manifestation of the Li ethnic areca culture, and in the end, a summary is made on the features and causes of the areca culture in the Li ethnic area, thereby presenting a new perspective for research on the ethnic material culture in south China.
