Syncretism and Immersion: Cultivation of College Students’ Cross-cultural Communicative Competence

随着国际交往的日益频繁,跨文化交际能力在国际交流中的地位日益彰显,跨文化交际能力也成为当代大学生基本素质之一,广东外语外贸大学主动适应社会对人才的需求,将培养大学生的跨文化交际能力融会贯通于人才培养方案和各种具有跨文化要素的第二课堂之中,形成了课堂教学与课外活动有机结合,知识认知与环境浸染相互补充的培养机制。

Cross-cultural communicative competence, one of the fundamental qualifications of modern college students, becomes more and more important in the frequent international communication. In order to cater to the society＇s require- ments of talents, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies actively integrates the cultivation of students＇ cross-cultural communicative competence with talent cultivation programs and extracurricular activities with cross-cultural elements, thus formulating an organic cultivation pattern which involves classroom teaching and extracurricular activities, as well as knowledge recognition and environmental immersion.
