In 2000, American realistic writer Updike published Gertrude and Claudius, which is the reanalysis of the plot and characters in Hamlet. The focuses of this book are life and affectional experience of the queen, Gertrude. Moreover, the attention of the whole book has been transferred from male to female. Therefore, the voices of women, which express females＇ own opinions and purchases of ideal life, can be heard by all people.
