Proven the necessity and feasibility of cable television network resources based on GIS technoloty through analyzing the present situation of the management of domestic cable television network resources, the domestic development and application of GIS technology as well as that abroad and the cable television trade. Analyzed the advantages of the spacious relation and spacious distribution of the objects described in GIS system combined with the characteristics of cable television statistic management, illustrated the great ecnomic benefit and social benefit brought by the buliding of GIS management system to cable television enterprises through benefit analysis.
