正义是古今人类普遍追求的一种价值目标。西方和现代社会所理解的主要是社会正义,主张通过构建符合正义原则的制度来保证和实现正义。中国传统追求的主要是人格正义,它是个体正义。在当前的制度建设中,要充分认识传统的人格正义忽视制度建设和制度正义的弊端,同时要注意制度与传统文化的相容性,还要发扬传统人格正义对制度的支撑,加强社会主义精神文明建设。

At all times and in all over the world, justice is one of the valuable objectives of human beings. In the eyes of both Western and modern society, justice is social justice, and it should be guaranteed and realized by constructing the systems that conform with the rules of justice. But, in the traditional Chinese culture, the justice that is pursued is personality＇ s justice, which is individual injustice. In today＇s system construction, it is significant to know the disadvantage of the traditional personality＇ s justice--the ignorance of the construction of systems and the justice of systems, to note the compatibility of systems with traditional culture, to make systems well established on the solid foundation of traditional personality＇ s justice and to strengthen the construction of the socialist cultural civilization.
